Back to School:
Each year, RLFF distribute s over 200 fully loaded book bags to students throughout the Baltimore City & County Public Schools System. With the goal of having students prepared for school with the necessary supplies, the book bags provided will include the following items: pencils, pens, paper, binders, notebooks, pocket folders, crayons, glue sticks, staplers, scissors and more… Special thanks to Wal-Mart for your partnership in the program.
Thanksgiving Giveaway:
The holidays can add extra pressure to families living under the poverty line, which is why the Ray Lewis Family Foundation is there to help those needy families who oftentimes go without a Thanksgiving meal. Each year Ray, the RLFF staff and volunteers distribute over 500 meals in time for families to prepare their meals before Thanksgiving. Meals include a full turkey, bag of potatoes, stuffing, mac and cheese and more. All meals are packaged to serve a family of 10. Special thanks to our premier partner, MCS Services for your contribution and support of this program. In addition, we would like to thank Frito Lay, Safeway, Schmidt Baking, Verizon, the Ravens Roost and Maryland Physicians Care for your partnership in this program.
Christmas Toy Drive:
We invite over 150 disadvantaged youth in need of a gift for the Holidays. Instead of just providing them a gift, we have them choose a gift for themselves and one for a loved one. The goal is to instill the value of giving, instead of just receiving. Special thanks to Wal-Mart for your partnership in this program
Coat & Blanket Drive:
This year RLFF combined our annual Coat & Blanket Drive with our Thanksgivinging Drive. In partnership with Lorien Elkridge, RLFF was able to distrubute over 1,000 coats, blankets and accessories to families in need o keep these individuals warm through the winter.
Youth Fitness Clinic:
As part of Ray’s Summer Days, Ray Lewis’ Youth Fintess Clinic focuses on engaging youth in exercising, promoting activity and creating awareness on the fight against childhood obesity. Youth ages 6-14 participate in a day of fun exercise with Ray, his celebrity colleagues and the foundation staff & volunteers. To register your child, visit rayssummerdays.com.
